PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WLOX) – Singing River Health System’s first-ever female CEO has been officially named.
The board announced Thursday morning that Tiffany Murdock will take over as CEO after serving as interim CEO since February.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are thrilled that Tiffany continues to lead our healthcare system in a positive direction,” said Erich Nichols, Chairman of the Board. “She has a proven track record of strategically steering the healthcare system in a direction that is in the best interests of our staff and the community while ensuring that quality care for our patients comes first.
Murdock began her career at Singing River as executive director of surgical operations in 2016 and was named hospital administrator for the system’s Singing River Gulfport site in 2020.
Prior to joining Singing River, she held nursing leadership and leadership positions in health systems across the country, including providers in Medford, Oregon, and Sonoma County, California. SRHS said in a press release Thursday morning that Murdock has extensive experience providing leadership guidance to healthcare teams while improving the overall patient experience and quality of care provided in these facilities.
“She has led diverse teams to achieve success through innovative planning and implementation to ensure patients receive the highest quality care and the superior service they deserve,” Singing River said.
Tiffany holds a BSN in Nursing, an MSN and an MBA in Health Care Administration, as well as a Ph.D. in Executive Leadership in Public Health.
